This beautiful music box cigarette/lipstick musical carousel dispenser was manufactured in the 1970’s by the San Francisco Music Box Co. It features four beautiful hand-painted porcelain panels with floral sprays that open to reveal golden “doors” decorated with a raised womans profile which hold the cigarettes or lipstick. At the same time the Reuge music box plays “Geschichten aus dem Wiener Wald” by Johann Strauss II. The knob at the top of the carousel opens and closes the dispenser and music will play until closed. There is a winding mechanism on the bottom to wind the music box. The carousel was made in Italy and the music box is a Reuge Swiss movement. The carousel stands around 11″ high and is 5″ across at the bottom. Condition is VERY GOOD. The music box plays perfectly! I have included a link to a YouTube video which show the item with the music box playing! The porcelain panels are flawless. There is some gold loss to the bottom of the feet.
