Offering an antique Karl Griesbaum gold plated singing bird automaton music bird box with beautifully etched scenes of celebration in Germany. It measures 4″ wide X 2 1/2″ deep X 2 high and some of the gold plating has worn through to the base silver metal as we’ve tried to show in several of our photos. After winding and sliding the silver owl just left of the pig the top oval section opens quickly to reveal a colorfully feathered bird which tweets and twirls while flapping his wings. After a few seconds he suddenly escapes under the cover to the wonderment of the children. A sensational antique bird box for any collector.
