Antique German Kalliope wind up music box, known for its intricate design and sound quality when playing pierced metal music discs. Handcrafted in Germany by Kalliope Musikwerke Chemnitz/Leipzig, Germany around 1900. Wind up, with replacement crank, in working condition. Discs have some rust, discoloration and warps. Includes “Tell Me Pretty Maiden”; Waltz fr. San Toy”; “Star of my Soul”; “Jewel of Asia”; “God Save the Queen”; “Queen of the Earth”; “Star of Bethlehem; and two more. Box has one linear crack across the lid and two on the base, but is solid. The tone is surprisingly clear and full. 11.25″x10.5×6.5″/29cm x 27cm x 18cm.
