I tried winding it (with the comb removed of course) and it felt like it was slipping a little but it did cause the cylinder to spin after being cranked up. Box is roughly 14 across. Condition is what you see, I’m not an expert so I do not know anything about who made it. The bottom is stamped that it’s made in Switzerland and there are Roman numerals carved in the edge of the box and under the mechanism in the bottom of the box. Lid has a faint, painted decoration. The finish on the box is a little alligatored and has minor chips, one small section of the marquetry is missing but otherwise sound with no major dings or cracks. For parts or for restoration. It’s been cleaned up a little, the brass was briefly polished and it cleaned up easily. It could be really nice with a bit of care and attention.
