FASCINATING ANTIQUE KALLIOPE DISC MUSIC BOX. Please find an original Kalliope disc music box. Made in Leipzich Germany around the turn of the century. So it is well over 100 years old. This Kalliope uses 9 1/4 inch discs. I have 8 of these discs (including one Christmas song) that come with the music box. The case with a beautiful inlay at the top measures is 30 x 28 x 18 cm. (12 x 11 x 7 inch). This music box is spring wound and has an automatic stop / start mechanism. There are no teeth missing in the comb. It plays loud and clear as you can hear in the You-Tube file.
