Italian Sorrento Inlaid Wood Lacquered Music Jewelry Box 18 note Swiss movement Reuge Plays “Masquerade” This exquisite Italian made with high gloss elm has an inlaid floral design and walnut filetto border. It stands on little brass feet, features a larger jewelry compartment lined in a lovely ruby red velvet and will play “Masquerade” From Phantom of the Opera from its 18-note Swiss movement Reuge Sainte-Croix when the lid is lifted. It features a long graceful shape, lock and key as well as plenty of room for precious jewelry. In addition, it has soft ruby red velvet lining and a matching covered window to hide or view the mechanism. It measures 10 ” x 5 3/4″ x 3 and weighs 2 pounds, 2 ounces. This beautiful music box was made by hand with real wood in Sorrento, Italy. Excellent condition: Lacquered Coverage is Intact, no chips or cracks. In some of the pictures it looks like it has a surface mark/scratch, but it is the light reflecting off the gloss. Music mechanism works perfectly. Inner velvet lining is in very good condition, no stain, no holes. No original box, sorry.
