This is a genuine antique, not a reproduction! ANTIQUE SINGING BIRD CAGE MUSIC BOX. Three (3) Large Animated Birds. We are pleased to offer this fabulous bird cage, made by Bontems of Paris in the late 1800’s. Stands 24″ tall, and 15″ wide and 10 deep at the base. Upper bird is 6″ from beak to tail, lower birds are 5″. The brass cage has been polished and lacquered to prevent tarnishing. The ornate, embellished wooden base has been refinished. The birds have been re-feathered as necessary. The key is original. The birds have a continuous and an intermittent operation sequence, as selected by the lever on the right side near the crank handle.
