Rare discontinued San Francisco Music Box Company pink jeweled kaleidoscope music box. This is such an unusual piece – part music box, part working kaleidoscope, and honestly just a gorgeous little display piece. It has a pearly blush-pink finish with ornate gold-tone trim, tiny decorative feet, scrolling details, and a rotating top covered in multicolored faceted jewel accents. When wound, the music box plays Pachelbel’s Canon in D while the jeweled top rotates. Looking through the end of the scope creates the kaleidoscope effect. Both the music box and kaleidoscope have been tested and are working. It has a wonderful over-the-top feminine look that fits beautifully with Barbiecore, coquette, rococo revival, Hollywood Regency, maximalist, glam, vanity, and pink vintage decor. It would look amazing displayed with vintage perfume bottles, pearls, compacts, vanity accessories, or other decorative collectibles. Condition: Very good pre-owned condition. The jeweled top and gold-tone detailing display beautifully. Please review all photos closely for condition. Approximate height is 4½ inches. Please see ruler photos for scale. Video included showing the music box and rotating kaleidoscope mechanism working. A really special piece for a San Francisco Music Box collector, kaleidoscope collector, or anyone who loves unapologetically pink, jeweled decor.
