Vintage Thorens decorative mini grand piano musical box, with cigarette or trinket&#######xA0;space beneath the piano lid. Beautiful table-top gilt grand piano with ornate detailing on the body, legs and heavy lid. The top design features scrolling ribbon and a wreath surrounding sheet music. Lid resembles amber colored marble but appears to be bakelite or a similar material. Lid is hinged to reveal a small compartment in which cigarettes or valuables may be stored, along with the music box mechanism. Heavy, weighs approximately 3 pounds. Measures 8.5″ x 5.25″ x 4 inches. Very good condition with general wear overall. Two small fissures to wreath artwork atop lid. Retains original keyboard strip which is often missing from these pianos.
