Here is a great opportunity for a knowledgeable professional who repairs singing bird boxes. This is a really beautiful gilt over brass heavily detailed box with what appears to have all of the parts. I would assume that at one time this was about to be restored as evidenced by the carefully preserved bellows, which appear to be an extra set, black and white photos, patterns, and the other parts that were well contained with the box. From what I know of these, this is a better than average box with a hidden removeable base that would have held the winding key and expose the winding shaft. The gilding is very presentable. I did wind it and it ran, and it did sing slightly. If you have the knowledge and experience this is a great investment. It measures 4 1/4 wide, 3 1/4 deep and 1 3/4 high.
